It’s likely that only a small percentage of the estimated 10,000+ zoos, aquariums, sanctuaries, and rescue centers which operate globally benefit from either national or regional animal welfare legislation or guiding principles from a professional zoo or sanctuary association.
A much more significant number fall outside any such protection and guidance, meaning that despite significant advances in animal welfare science, poor captive animal welfare and care persists as a global situation.
Each year, Wild Welfare US works to advance welfare improvements for thousands of wild animals living in zoos, aquariums, and sanctuaries around the world.
With your support, we can achieve even more! We have many ideas you could use to help raise funds for Wild Welfare US – from baking and selling cakes at your workplace, or holding a non-uniform day at your school, to setting up a yogathon with like-minded yoga buddies and birthday and anniversary celebration days.
Whatever you choose to do, we’d love to hear about your fundraising plans and if you download our fundraising pack below, it will provide you with necessary materials to make your activities go as smoothly as possible. For additional information on helping us fundraise, please get in touch at:

Payroll Contribution
There are many ways to donate through a workplace giving campaign, including credit card, check, stock, vacation hours and cash; however, giving through recurring payroll deduction is most effective. Fees are applied when you donate via credit card or check, so less of your donation actually goes to the charity. By giving through recurring or one-time payroll deduction, your donation is automatically deducted from your paycheck, there are no extra fees and because employees’ payroll donations come out of their after-tax earnings, their donation is tax-deductible. Recurring payroll deduction allows you to spread your pledge over the course of a year, in smaller, more financially manageable amounts to be deducted from your paycheck.

Online Giving
If you are taking on a challenge, a simple way of raising funds is through sponsorship from family and friends. You can collect sponsorship easily by setting up an online fundraising page through either GoFundMe or Facebook.
Most online fundraising sites charge a small fee to process donations – with the exception of Facebook which is free – so if you are going to do your fundraising through social media this could be a good option.
